At
the table I sit working to produce a concept for the
lobster boat. I first engineered to have the boat in
choppy waters cresting on a high wave, but thought it
fitting to have the vessel in a breeze idling on moving
waters while the gloved fisherman pulled the traps. This
was a fine finish to a nice effect. |

and painted on gold field. The sculpture being woodcarved,

other gear are placed in a tossed position to compliment
the breeching whale forcing the boat from the water.
Several configurations were drawn before narrowing
down to one concept that made the sculpture believeable
upon view. |
